Teresa Neal
Teresa
Neal is a Fort Worth native and the youngest of 4 daughters.
She learned early that her love for television and passion for
asking people questions that no one else would, would lead her
into a career that included broadcasting. She interned at KXAS,
NBC-5 before graduating from Abilene Christian University, earning
a BA in Mass Communication with emphasis in Radio and Television.
She later founded her own production company and currently produces “script
to-screen” productions for the public and for Christian television.
Following a painful divorce after 16 years of marriage and having
never lived alone, Teresa learned first hand about the challenges
women face in an un-kind world. This began a new journey of
living single for the first time and facing difficult challenges.
Then in October of 2005 and with no warning, her family lost their
hero and her earthly father. This began the biggest challenge for
her now widowed mother, who was married for 61 years and who too,
had never lived alone. Realizing how blessed they both are to have
family to look out for the two of them, Teresa along with her mother
became burdened for women who are vulnerable and alone with no
family to turn to. So…..they decided to do something about
it! Along with her mother’s encouragement and support, Teresa
founded and serves as the Director for “Heroes for Kiddos
and Widows,” an organization that puts into place the scripture,
James 1:27 of “caring for the needs of abandoned children
and helpless widows,” especially when it comes to their domestic
needs and their salvation.
Teresa is an animated, energetic speaker whose passionate about
helping others become “uncommon” by discovering and
then following their true passion. She adds humor and re-life stories
when she speaks, some of which include one of her inspirations
she calls “Troy,” her West Highland Terrier dog. She’s
married to the love of her life, Scott Neal whom she lovingly refers
to as “Neal at the Cross.” As a couple, their
Mission is to spread and demonstrate the gospel of James 1:27 through
their
ministry.
